New Series: Dog with a Blog
Disney Channel has officially picked up the series "Dog with a Blog" staringG. Hannelius for a full season order. Production begins this Summer for a premiere in the Fall. A talking dog series seems a little out there, but we’ve been surprised before.
A family sitcom from the pets point-of-view, it centers on step-siblings whose parents buy them a dog to encourage them to get along. That happens - to some extent - as brother and sister discover a big secret about their familys latest addition" that the dog can talk AND blog. The series will introduce a talented cast, among them, Disney Channels next big star: a four year-old, mixed breed named Kuma in the role of Stan, the talking dog with a blog.

New Disney Pilot: Bits & Pieces
Disney has ordered a new pilot called Bits & Pieces which sounds a lot like a redo of Life with Derek. Derek was a very well done show, but it wasn’t actually produced by Disney so it would be interesting to see Disney’s direct take on the idea if the pilot ends up being picked up for a full series order.
In the story, the family tree gets a whole lot bigger when high school basketball coach Pete marries the school psychologist Jodie, much to the chagrin of their four kids. Willful teenager Alanna recounts all the family moments through comedic vignettes, while her awkward brother Sticky and their new step siblings Crystal and Brody help fill in the bits and pieces as they begin their journey together as a new family.

Rich Ross Resigns!
Rich Ross was the president of the Disney Channel when Kim Possible was cancelled and SDS was founded. In 2009 Bob Iger fired Walt Disney Studios head Dick Cook and promoted Ross to the position. Ross continued in that post until last month when he was forced to resign in the wake of the John Carter debacle (and more importantly Rosss mishandling of the spin). A replacement has yet to be named.

Phineas & Ferb to Replace Kim Possible at Epcot
This is disappointing, but not really unexpected. Instead of standing with the franchise, Disney just casts KP to the sidelines in favor of capitalizing on Phineas and Ferb for a short while instead.
[The]"Kim Possible" interactive game at Epcot will be replaced with Agent Ps World Showcase Adventure … As the Orlando Sentinel reports, visitors will become secret agents to help the "Phineas & Ferb" character defeat his archenemy Dr. Doofenshmirtz. Families with kids that adore the series will probably enjoy an afternoon helping the platypus out.
